Mr. Joshua Bacchus • Principal

Mr. Bacchus has been an employee of Boone County Schools for 13 years and has been in leadership roles for 8 years either as a principal, in both elementary and middle school, or central office director.  He is a graduate from Cross Lanes Christian School. From there, he attended Clearwater Christian College where he received his degree in special education with a minor in Bible.  He proceeded to obtain his Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies and a superintendence certificate from Marshall University.

Mr. Bacchus and his wife, Jessica, have been attending Bible Center for 6 years and  are actively involved with their three children, who all attend Bible Center School.

In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, working outside and doing small construction projects.

Mrs. Vicki Hess • Preschool Director

Vicki has come to the preschool with considerable experience working with children and parents. She assumes responsibilities for Director of Preschool after having taught in Bible Center’s elementary school since the early 80’s. She has also had experience teaching in the Lincoln County and Kanawha County public school systems as well as serving as an assistant director of an area day care center.

She grew up in Lincoln County where she graduated from Duval High School. She completed her undergraduate and graduate work at Marshall University. Additional classes have been completed through Appalachian Bible College, West Virginia University, and the University of Charleston.

Vicki and her husband, Reed, reside in Alum Creek and attend Bible Center Church where they serve in a variety of volunteer capacities. They have one grown daughter, Paige, who resides in the Charleston area with her husband, daughter and son.

In their free time, Vicki and Reed enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
