Rebecca has been involved in various aspects of the ministry of Bible Center Church and School intermittently since she was in high school. She has served in the school, the preschool, and the church; but this is her first year teaching 1st grade. Before coming to BCS, she taught upper elementary at a small Christian school in Nitro for three years.
Rebecca, along with her four brothers and sisters, grew up in Alum Creek. Her earliest memories are of going to church and reading the Bible with her family. As an eight-year-old girl, she realized her need of a Savior and her mom showed her from the Bible how to trust Jesus. When Rebecca was sixteen, she surrendered her life to serve in full-time ministry. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Bible from Ambassador Baptist College and a MS in Biblical Counseling from Bob Jones University.
Rebecca loves her family; she especially enjoys spending time with her 18 nieces and nephews. She is very active in her local church, ministering to the women and children—as well as being involved in the music ministry. Rebecca is passionate about taking the gospel to the whole world. So far, she has taken missions trips to New York City, Nova Scotia, South Africa, Brazil, Peru and Colombia.
