Kelly Britton has taught at BCS first, in the 1990-91 school year, and then from 2005 until the present. For all but two of her years at BCS she has taught the fourth grade. Her teaching experience outside of BCS includes teaching in Georgia, Hawaii, and Japan. She grew up a pastor’s daughter in Sissonville, West Virginia with her twin sister and two older brothers. She was inspired by some of her teachers, but mostly by her mother, to become a teacher herself.
Kelly went to Word of Life Bible Institute and Tennessee Temple University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Education with minors in Bible and Psychology. In 1998 she married Tim Britton, who works with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The two reside in Charleston, and Tim and Kelly are teammates in ministry. They enjoy traveling, cooking, and laughing together.
