The Giving to Grow Gala is an evening of fellowship and fundraising. The event includes a catered dinner, silent auction, entertainment by students. It also gives us the opportunity to come together to celebrate all that God is doing at Bible Center School. We hope that parents, alumni, grandparents, and friends will come celebrate with us. Your gala financial commitment helps to support the funding of our Annual Fund and help us to raise funds for a designated project each year.
2014 Gala: Play it Forward
The BCS Gala was held on April 4 and was a great success. Thanks to all who had a part and for your continued support of Bible Center School.
About the BCS Annual Fund
Bible Center School has a rich history filled with sacrifice and accomplishment. To fulfill our goals of high educational standards and affordability, the BCS Annual Fund was born and the very first Giving to Grow Gala was held in March of 2010. The purpose of the Annual Fund and the Gala is to provide the necessary funds to close the “gap” which exists between our operating needs and tuition income. The “gap” is present because we endeavor to keep school tuition and fees to the minimum levels practical in order to reach as many children as possible with a Christian Education.
A Business Partner is a company that partners with Bible Center School through their financial support to further the mission and purpose of our school. Partners receive recognition at the school through various advertising opportunities depending on the level of partnership.
How does this all work?
For the last several years, the BCS Giving to Grow Gala has asked for your commitments to pray, volunteer and give financially to the Annual Fund. Each year our Business Partners have helped to meet the budget gap.
In previous years, the additional funds given have been used for starting a middle school, a sign on our school building, updated technology, Art and Spanish programs, classroom furniture and needed supplies, and much more.
Sometimes an overlooked motivation for giving is the joy that it brings the giver. And the best part is that giving is an important Biblical concept. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, “God loves a cheerful giver.”
We pray that you give with joy. Each gift we receive allows Bible Center School to extend its impact for God’s kingdom and allows our faculty and staff to continue the mission of BCS.
What happens this year?
In 2014, after the budget gap is met, the Annual Fund will go toward the purchase of a preschool and elementary playground. The current equipment is outdated and needs to be replaced. At the Gala we will discuss the type of playground equipment that will be purchased. The goal will be to install state of the art playground equipment in the fall for the students to enjoy. Also, the equipment will assist in their growth and development for years at Bible Center School.
